You shouldn't post from a Hotmail account ;-)

I do not have influence on how the cover ends up in the book - the Wiki
plugin does that. But it could be that the Wiki page layout
http://docs.slackware.com/slackbook:epub:title can be modified so that
the page flow does not occur.

Any Wiki editor can upload newer versions of the bitmap. It should be
located at :slackbook:epub:cover.png because the epub plugin demands
"cover.png" as the name of the bitmap.
The plugin looks for a cover.png in the same namespace as where the
title page is stored, which is :slackbook:epub:title (the name "title"
is also mandatory).

See
http://docs.slackware.com/start?tab_details=view&image=slackbook%3Aepub%3Acover.png&ns=slackbook%3Aepub&do=media
for the media. The title page is
http://docs.slackware.com/slackbook:epub:title as I said earlier.

The epub definition is simply:

<epub:Slackware Linux Essentials, Revised>
   :slackbook:epub:title
   [[:slackbook:start|Index]]
   [[:slackbook:conventions_used_in_this_book|Conventions Used in this
Book]]
   [[slackbook:intro_to_slackware|Introduction to Slackware]]
   [[:slackbook:install|Installation]]
   [[:slackbook:booting|Booting]]
   [[:slackbook:shell|Basic Shell Commands]]
   [[:slackbook:bash|The Bourne Again Shell]]
   [[:slackbook:process_control|Process Control]]
   [[:slackbook:xwindow_system|The X Window System]]
   [[:slackbook:printing|Printing]]
   [[:slackbook:users|Users and Groups]]
   [[:slackbook:filesystem_permissions|Filesystem Permissions]]
   [[:slackbook:working_with_filesystems|Working with Filesystems]]
   [[:slackbook:vi|Vi]]
   [[:slackbook:emacs|Emacs]]
   [[:slackbook:network|Networking]]
   [[:slackbook:wifi|Wireless Networking]]
   [[:slackbook:basic_networking_utilities|Basic Networking Utilities]]
   [[:slackbook:package_management|Package Management]]
   [[:slackbook:tracking_updates|Keeping Track of Updates]]
   [[:slackbook:linux_kernel|The Linux Kernel]]
</epub>

... so there is nothing that can be changed here, if anything, it must
be done in that "title" page.
Any Wiki editor can update the cover.png image _and_ can generate a new
EPUB file by first clicking "Remove page from Creator List" in
http://docs.slackware.com/epub:slackbook and then clicking "Start". You
should see the EPUB being created "live" in the page and the new link
will appear at the end.

I will be unavailable for the rest of the week probably.

Eric H.
